Annual Australasia MITRA Conference 2008

Dates: Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th of July

Deep inside every one of us is a yearning for happiness and an understanding of what is really going on in our lives. On all levels of reality, from our perception of events in everyday personal experience, all the way up to the deeper questions of the mysteries behind our existence, Buddhism has the power to provide simple and practical teachings to guide us on our journey. In this year's conference, we will explore the wisdom of Buddhism in all aspects of our lives, and find that even in our chaotic modern world, there is a peace and tranquility awaiting those who seek it.

About MITRA

The Mitra Youth Buddhist Network is a not-for-profit organisation formed to develop an active and engaged network of young Buddhists in Australasia. It provides support for tertiary Buddhist Societies as well as run events that promote Buddhism within the wider community. Mitra does not align with any one Buddhist tradition, prefering to act as a gateway for participants to explore Buddhist teachings in their own way. Our activities are not exclusive to any age group, denomination, religous faith or background. All are welcome to our events. You can find more information at our homepage.
